Hill Country Fly Fishers

Membership

  1. There shall be one class of membership–individual. Individual memberships are those held by men and women who are 18 years of age or over. Children of individual members who are under 18 may attend meetings and events under the sponsorship of their parents or guardians but may not be voting members.
  2. Responsibilities of Membership:
    1. Members in good standing shall have all the rights and privileges of membership including the right to vote and to hold office.
    2. A member shall be considered not in good standing who is over three (3) months late in the payment of dues or whose conduct (as determined solely by the Board of Directors) is of an unsportsmanlike manner which may reflect adversely on the sport of fly fishing and/or the Hill Country Fly Fishers.
    3. The membership of an individual not in good standing may be terminated by the Board of Directors at their sole discretion, and such termination may be communicated to all members in good standing.

Dues

Dues are currently $15 per year for an individual or $25/yr for a family, with September being the anniversary date. Included with the membership is our monthly newsletter, The Back Cast, which is now available on our website but will be mailed to those wishing it if they do not have access to the Internet.

[For a number of years our club has been stocking rainbow trout from a hatchery in Missouri at one or more locations. To pay for the fish and lease of river access privileges, an additional fee is charged, currently $125, for those members who choose to participate. The fee allows a member the right to fish at the stocking location lease or leases . Participation is limited as to the number of fly fishers who may fish at the leases, depending on an amount that will not stress the fish nor crowd the fishing areas. The program is based on a first come, first serve basis with participants from the previous year having first priority.]
